- The CHL Canada Russia Series returns to Rouyn-Noranda for the first time since 2006 when current-day Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault led the way with two goals and an assist in a 6-2 Team QMJHL victory.
- Team QMJHL holds an all-time record of 13-8-3 in the CHL Canada Russia Series, going 4-5-0-1 over their past 10 meetings with Russia.
- With a 2-1 win in Windsor on Monday, Team OHL secured the series title as the Canadian Hockey League now leads 12-0 in points. This marks the first time since 2009 that the CHL has won the series in four games.

FAMILIAR FACES: Five different Rouyn-Noranda Huskies will suit up in front of their hometown fans tonight. Huskies captain Francis Perron joins teammates Jean-Christophe Beaudin, Julien Nantel, Jeremy Lauzon and Philippe Myers in representing Team QMJHL while head coach Gilles Bouchard will serve as an assistant.
PERRON ON 20-GAME POINT STREAK: Rouyn-Noranda Huskies captain Francis Perron leads all QMJHL players on a 20-game point streak. The 19 year-old Ottawa Senators prospect has points in all 20 games he has played in this season, compiling 16 goals, 24 assists and 40 points over that span.
RUSSIA NOTES
OFFENSIVE BOOST: After scoring just once in two games against the OHL, Russia gets a shot in the arm offensively. QMJHL forwards Evgeny Svechnikov, Maxim Lazarev and Yakov Trenin bring a combined total of 29 goals to the Russian forward corps.
