Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League, in association with the Canadian Hockey League, announced today that forward Aaron Luchuk of the Windsor Spitfires has been added to the Team OHL roster for the 2015 CHL Canada Russia Series.
An 18-year-old from Kingston, ON, Luchuk is playing in his second full OHL season with the Spitfires after being a fourth round pick by the club in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. In 21 games so far this season Luchuk already has a career-high 13 goals while adding six assists for 19 points. On Sunday night he scored the overtime winner lifting the Spitfires to a 3-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
Luchuk will compete for Team OHL on home ice tonight against Team Russia in Game 4 of the CHL Canada Russia Series in Windsor. He replaces teammate Logan Brown who is unable to participate due to injury.
