With the series tied 9-9 in points after all six games, a five player shootout took place following Game 6 to determine the overall winner. Team QMJHL’s Maxime Comtois scored the decisive goal and Samuel Harvey stopped all five attempts clinching the 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series title for the CHL.
